Dehradun 2 february. Tarun Mohan ( correspondent) In order to eliminate wastage of resources in the context of construction and development of projects in the state, Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has given strict instructions to the concerned officers in the meeting of Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) to work with integrated plan during the construction and development of all the projects. Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi has made it clear to the officers that during the development of projects, work should be done with an integrated understanding on human resources, buildings, equipment and outcome of the projects.
Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi, while reviewing the 50-bedded critical care block to be built in the district hospitals of Gopeshwar and Roorkee, has given strict instructions to the health department that in view of the development of health infrastructure, there should be more strengthening of health facilities in existing hospitals in the state than new constructions. There is a need to strengthen and improve health facilities and services. In this regard, the Chief Secretary has given instructions to immediately improve the existing health services while preventing wastage of resources. Smt Radha Raturi has given strict advice to the Health Department to make optimum use of the existing health and medical resources in the health sector. Along with this, She talked about making solar panels and rain water harvesting mandatory in all hospitals.
During the EFC (Expenditure Finance Committee) meeting of 5 important projects in the Secretariat on Friday, Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi, while reviewing the beautification and improvement work of Maa Nayana Devi Temple in Nainital under the Manaskhand Scheme, talked about the expansion of parking here . Instructions were given to create a nearby freezing zone and complete the planned development works soon. In this regard, information was given by the Public Works Department that under this project, which will be completed at a cost of Rs 1101.62 lakh, within one year, development and beautification of the temple complex, utility shifting, parking lot near the temple complex will be upgraded by converting it into stack parking. Resettlement of shops around the temple complex and beautification of the pedestrian path are also to be done.
Along with this, Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi, while reviewing the beautification of Devidhura Barahi Devi Temple in Champawat under Manaskhand Scheme, gave instructions to complete the work of temple construction, circumambulation route, entrance, Gaharwalkham and internal electrification within the given time limit. Public Works Department informed that the cost of this project to be completed in 18 months is Rs 1253.28 lakh.
Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi gave instructions to the Irrigation Department to soon complete the drainage plan of Muni Ki Reti, Dhalwala and Tapovan areas under Rishikesh city, which is being done with Rs. 4042.90 lakhs.
Additional Chief Secretary Shri Anand Vardhan, Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Shri Sachin Kurve and officials of related departments were present in the meeting.
